The last week in May, 1999 I went on a mountaineering trip to the Cascades in Washington. Here's me at 6,700 ft. on Eldorado Peak. |

I love the outdoors, but I'm not an outdoorsman in the Southern, hunting and fishing sense of the word. I believe it's possible to go for a walk in the woods without killing anything. I've been fishing on the Gulf of Mexico once, and there's a long story to that, but here's the result. I'm told this fish is called a "Bonita". |

Here's me at sixteen, utterly thrilled to be riding on an airliner without my parents. I'm headed for Washington DC with a school group. I'm also hoping that one of the sophmores on this trip will fall for me during our adventure together. Alas, he didn't. |

Here's me being a ham by the pool at
the age of 10. I'm the one on the right with the crazed expression
and a towel around my neck. I've still got the towel. With
me is my friend Ole. He was a student from Norway. He moved
back to Norway when I was 11, but we managed to find each other again via the 'net last year. I scanned this pic to send e to him. Seems
like a fun pic for the Netshow too.

I lived in Hawaii for a while when I was in the military. Here's my Magnum PI shot on the the beach near Waimanalo. |

Here's a picture of me which Brent took while we were resting by the Merced River above Vernal Falls while hiking in Yosemite. |

I like dogs. I'm definately a
dog kinda guy. I'm somewhat allergic to cats and I don't like their
attitude. They've more recently entered my life, however, and I'm
learning to deal with them. Here I'm seen with a little furry friend named
Callie. |

One of the most important things in my life is my involvement in motorsports. Although I only rarely get to drive at speed on racetracks, I seems to spend at least 20 weekends a year at them working in some job or another. Last year I got to try an Indy Car on for size. Seems to fit! Any sponsors out
there? |

Another essential element in my life is aviation. I earned an FAA pilot's license at 19, but haven't had enough money to stay current in several years. I hope to get back to it when I'm older and richer. Back in Hawaii I went for a glider ride! Quite different from the powered flight I'm used to. |

Travel is a great way to open our minds to new possibilities and break down the paradigms that confine our perception of reality. I'm fortunate that my racing work takes me to lots of new places. Here's a pic of me in Sydney, Australia for the 1996 500cc Grand Prix of Australia at Eastern Creek. |
